Our priority is that you and your loved ones remain safe. While the security team watches and monitors severe storms, we want all employees to be prepared before, during and after emergencies:

  • Create an emergency communication plan with your family today. If you already have a plan, this is a great time to review or update your plan.
  • Have emergency supplies in place at home, at work and in the car.
  • Check your insurance coverage, damages caused by flooding are not covered under normal homeowner’s insurance policies.
  • Know your community’s evacuation plan, possible evacuation routes and how to sign up for local alerts.

Enterprise Security stands by and is ready to support and assist you. Remember, there are several Cox resources available during severe weather events. Review the list below and remind your colleagues of actions that we all can take to prepare and communicate:

  • Make sure you know how to contact your supervisor or manager. Before the weather hits, please check in with your direct supervisor or manager to plan for the next few days.
  • After the weather has passed, please check-in with your direct supervisor or manager promptly following the storm to report your wellbeing and any needs.
  • We realize that disasters can damage homes and create major life disruptions. Cox created the Cox Employee Relief Fund (CERF) to help our employees when they need it most. Supporting our employees remains one of our most important values, and we want to continue advancing CERF’s mission of providing support to employees facing financial hardship due to a natural disaster or experiencing significant losses. If you or an employee need assistance, please contact your HR Business Partner. Visit CoxRelief.com to learn more about the program.
